Consulting Stance

Professionals (and humans beings in general) learn best by doing rather than by hearing or reading. So that's how we teach.

Consulting Stance's collaborative learning approach is fun and effective.  Many of our training modules are interactive workmaps that include a variety of activities to teach and reinforce desired behaviors.  Each workmap is performed by workgroups consisting of 4-5 participants who share their own experiences and lessons learned as they go through each activity.

You can train your whole team by arranging multiple workgroups in one room. Brief, introductory and wrap-up presentations are delivered to the whole group, and the modules are completed independently by each workgroup.

Debriefs after each training module reinforce the lessons learned and add more layers of depth and discussion to the training experience.

Consulting Stance has produced a series of training modules that address all of the most common issues and many of the deeper issues as well.  Improved communication and influence will result in increased productivity and drive your organization to success.

Our philosophy is that people learn best when they are laughing and engaged, so many of our modules include case studies and example solutions that are of the “what not to do” sort. Familiar characters and situations in the training scenarios will have some people shaking their heads and others pointing at each other and chuckling.

Three Ways to Bring Consulting Stance Training to Your Team

Consulting Stance offers three different options to deliver skills training in a corporate environment.  Select the option that works best for your organization:

  • Train the Whole Team at Once - Gather your entire team for a one-day training workshop facilitated by one of our skilled instructors.  Our combination of presentations and breakout activities will give your team, department or organization the tools and skills needed for immediate and dramatic improvement in productivity and communication.  We recommend combining the Accomplish Objectives, Establish Strategic Relationships and Accelerate Your Influence modules for the greatest impact.  The one-day workshop can be conducted either at an off-site facility or in a conference room depending on how many people you wish to train.
  • Train 4-5 People at a Time in Short Breakout Sessions - When workload or geography considerations make a one-day, "whole team" workshop impossible, Consulting Stance offers a self-paced training alternative for small groups.  Divide your team into workgroups of 4-5 people.  Each workgroup completes each of the three training modules together using the self-paced team materials and recorded presentations.  All they need for each module is two hours together in a small conference room with internet access.  You can purchase the course materials for each module individually or all three packaged together for greater savings.
  • Individual Web-Based Training Sessions - Some of the training modules are also delivered via web conference.  While this approach is not possible for the workmap modules, it is very effective for others.  To find out which modules are available as web-based training, please refer to the Catalog.
